The Teacher

watercolor

"Who are you?"
"A teacher."
[His] sigh was longing.   I wish you were my teacher."
"I am."
The cello-like voice was calm, slightly amused.
~Madeleine L'Engle, A Wind in the Door.

  8. I so appreciate close up, detailed paintings of complex things. This view you've taken of the cello is wonderful. Not easy.

  17. Such a beautiful painting. My youngest played and it broke my heart when she gave it up. This picture brings back the happy memories or her practising at home.
Such beautiful colours, you could reach out and pluck those strings.
