Les Misérables

watercolor

Do you hear the people sing
Lost in the valley of the night?
It is the music of a people
Who are climbing to the light.

For the wretched of the earth
There is a flame that never dies.
Even the darkest night will end
And the sun will rise.

  1. Looks like he could have walked right out of the play...a sad street urchin. Well done! :)

  2. this is really beautiful Minn. And if you noticed, a couple of my examples had a tiny bit of "other" color added in. Monochromatic is an all over feel of a piece, not strictly one color. that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. (especially since my piece breaks the rules a little too!)

  3. Oh my goodness, I'm lost for words. That is so good, looks so real. You are so clever. How do you get the watercolour to behave itself like that? Beautiful words too.
