Nature's Affirmation #3: Bad Hair Day

varnished watercolor on aquabord

"You can't control everything.
Your hair was put on your head to remind you of that!"
-anonymous

And I will add that hurricanes will remind you of the same!
We were spared great damage,
but many of our neighbors were less fortunate...

  1. My hair is the only part of me that listens to me ... the rest of my body, though not creeping, wants to fall apart without my permission. Oh, it would be nice to have control, but as I don't, I just work around it and worry about the things I can control. Your art is wonderful, and a style all your own. You have an equal gift with your words ... You make me chuckle. My father was a punster and he would have enjoyed reading your blog. Glad all is well with you ... my heart goes out to those with less fortune.

  4. Also, I am glad that you escaped the damage of the storm. Hurricanes are terrifying and even here in central Virginia there was a bit of damage.

  6. If it is bad hair, you have still made it look beautiful! Can a lion ever have a bad hair day :). I have been in two hurricanes and I understand how you feel.

  7. Beautiful watercolour and a sombre thought to think that so many have lost so much in the recent storms.
