Never fear shadows.
They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby.
What a gorgeous elephant painting. I love the haunting eerie atmosphere you've created. It gets you thinking of elephants and their plight. Lovely thought provoking piece.
This is a wonderful composition! I love the play of lights and darks and the vertical orientation. The subject grabs my interest as well. There is nothing crippled about your pencils. I see that every time I visit.

I love the colours you use, and how you've cropped the composition. I wouldn't have thought of using blues on elephants but you've done it really well!
